A major industrial facility located in northern Italy faced challenges maintaining vegetation across its large industrial yard. The site, which spans over 100 hectares, includes areas with steep slopes and dense overgrowth that hindered both safety and operational efficiency. The client sought a solution to reduce maintenance costs, improve safety for workers, and minimize downtime during yard operations.
After implementing the RCVIX RM-800 Remote Control Slope Mower on a trial basis, the client saw immediate improvements in vegetation control, worker safety, and operational speed. Challenge
MetalWorks Industrial Group operates an extensive industrial yard with difficult terrain, including slopes up to 30°. The primary challenges included:

Inefficient manual methods: Previous vegetation control required manual labor and large equipment that often resulted in downtime
Limited equipment capability: Traditional ride-on mowers were unsuitable for the yard’s uneven terrain and steep slopes

The client needed a mechanized, cost-effective, and safe solution for managing vegetation in the industrial yard without compromising operational efficiency.
Solution
RCVIX deployed the RM-800 Remote Control Slope Mower to address the facility’s vegetation control issues. The key elements of the solution included:
Deployment of 2 units for trial in the most challenging areas, including steep slopes and gravel paths
Operator training to ensure efficient remote control operation and safe navigation of the yard
Trial phase to fine-tune mowing paths and optimize the equipment for the industrial yard's unique terrain
Remote operation allowed operators to stay at a safe distance from hazardous areas while still providing full control over the mower
After the successful trial, the client added more units to cover additional sections of the yard.
