Operation & maintenance

Before you start. Inspect track tension and idlers, fuel and engine oil, remote-control batteries, and test the emergency stop on flat ground. Walk the line for wire, large stones and hidden obstacles the head could strike.

Daily care. Knock out packed soil from the undercarriage, check the track for cuts and embedded debris, and inspect the cutting head after each job. Grease the listed pivots and keep the deck-lift pins free of packed soil.

Undercarriage. Keep idlers and sprockets clean; a stone jammed in the track tears it. Re-tension after heavy use and after long transport, and store the machine under cover. Stabilise fuel for winter and disconnect the battery.
